    Matt Schwartz, MSW
    Registered Clinical Social Worker Intern

Matt Schwartz’s dedication to helping teens, adults, couples, and families with relationship-related challenges began when he was employed as a therapist and patient advocate at a residential treatment facility. It was in this role that he first recognized the profound influence relationships have on one’s mental well-being. Since then, he has dedicated his career to assisting clients in addressing their relationship issues, whether that involves rebuilding their connection or navigating the complexities of separation.

When clients seek to heal their relationships, Matt acts as an unbiased mediator, providing them with the time, space, and knowledge they need to recover the connection they once cherished. However, when clients seek to dissolve their relationships, he assumes the role of a compassionate guide, navigating them through the emotional and practical challenges that often accompany the recognition that a marriage or partnership has run its course.

Matt holds certificates in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Trauma, the Prevent-Teach-Reinforce model, and a graduate certificate in Positive Behavior Supports (PBS). He employs CBT, attachment theory, and the Gottman Method in his work, and enjoys incorporating humor and creativity when appropriate. Matt firmly believes that therapy has a beginning, middle, and end and does not need to be a lifelong process.
